Welcome to JU Physiotherapy

ABOUT

I'm James, a fully qualified musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist, providing mobile physiotherapy services around Woburn, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Leighton Buzzard and surrounding villages. I founded JU Physiotherapy with the aim of providing affordable, quality and personalised care to those struggling with pain, mobility and balance issues. With a mobile physiotherapy service, there is no need for you to travel and I will see you in the comfort of your own home.

I graduated with a first-class Bachelor of Science honours degree in Physiotherapy at Oxford Brookes University in 2014 and I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

Since qualifying as a physiotherapist, I have worked in primary and secondary MSK healthcare services in the NHS, at Milton Keynes University Hospital, Bedford Hospital and later, in GP surgeries. I also have several years experience working with sports teams, primarily in football and rugby.

Through my training and experience, I have managed patients with sport injuries, post-operative joint replacements and surgeries, rheumatology patients, patients suffering with chronic pain conditions, such as fibromyalgia, and elderly patients with balance issues.

I have also recently partnered with Vitality, AXA, and Aviva and I am now able to offer appointments through your private medical insurance.

What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a conservative treatment aimed at helping those who have suffered a musculoskeletal injury or disability. Physiotherapy can help to restore movement and function, and reduce symptoms of stiffness and pain.

I take a holistic approach during my consultations and the initial assessment will help to identify how your symptoms are affecting you. I like to ensure that you are involved in the decision making throughout your physiotherapy journey, so treatments will be tailored specifically to you and your goals.

Treatments may include education and advice, exercise prescription, taping and hands on manual therapy, including soft tissue massage, mobilisations and manipulations.
